The War is On
Today we made an execution chamber from a bucket with water in the bottom, a stick, a wire coat hanger and an empty bottle covered in peanut butter. If this doesn't work, I will keep searching for another method of eradication. I'm not really happy about drowning the mice --- I would prefer them to die quicker than drowning.

Fantastic that at last you are home!Must be hard to pick up where you left off. (After you demolish the mice, that is!) Yuck! Have you got your van home yet? How are Dom's legs? How about Steve's health, and of course yourself? My good news is that my friend Elsie, who has battled bowel cancer for 18 months,has been given a clean bill of health, and yesterday had the stoma removed! We are thankful, God is Good!It's been a tough battle. David has gout but new pills are helping hugely. Once again thanks heaps for your fantastic blog! We do appreciate your news, great photos, also Blonde jokes! Love, Beth.

A 410 on a little mouse? Hmm. Single shot? I would spend all my time loading cartridges!!

Yes, we towed the van through the water. It was only about 4" deep then. It was deeper when we went into town 3 days later. More water had been let out of Kow Swamp. Shiver.

We took MIL to lunch on Tuesday and she showed me on own plates the food that she can't eat, because of gout. Tomatoes, onions, seafood. I hope David is pain free soon.
We're OK, just a bit tired. Tiredness can't be compared with homelessness, can it!!!
